“I’ve got to get better at debating,” republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush stated in an interview with Jamie Gangel of CNN on Tuesday, “or performing, whatever it’s called, and I will.” Bush mentions this in the aftermath of last week’s republican debate on CNBC. Political pundits across the board agreed that Bush did not perform well during a night where he needed to deliver a strong performance. In a G2 Analytics special event, we ran a random survey sample of likely republican and independent primary voters with our Focus Group in the Cloud™. We found that, not only did Bush have one of the lowest engagement rates with potential voters, but also was a much less favorable candidate than the rest of the Republican field.
Since the debate, Bush has already seen his poll numbers plummet. Bush has begun to try and reinvigorate supporters by launching a new slogan “Jeb Can Fix It.” Do you think that Jeb can fix his sinking poll numbers? In the video above, Jeb urges, “I’m better qualified than anybody else running for president.” Will he be able to convince that to the American voters?
